ChronoDuello
Last updated: 2026-11-04

ChronoDuello needs no account and does not collect your name, email, phone number or location. The only thing our server keeps about you is a randomly generated player code; your progress stays on your device.

What the server stores

The game is played online, from our own server. The only data the server keeps about you is:

  • Player code (e.g. 7K3M-Q9TB): randomly generated on first launch. It lets friends invite you to a duel and confirms that a game session belongs to you. It works like a pseudonym and does not reveal who you are.
  • A hash of the code's secret key (not the key itself).
  • When the code was created and last seen.

Questions and answers are held in memory only while you play and are deleted when the game ends. No match history, leaderboard, device ID or IP address log is kept. Your IP address is counted briefly in memory only to limit abuse and is never written anywhere.

Retention and deletion

A player code that has not been seen for 90 days is deleted automatically. Encrypted backups are kept for up to 3 months.

Settings → Player code → "Delete my player code" immediately deletes your code and its server record; the progress on your device is not affected.

Where data is kept

The server is in Turkey (Radore, Istanbul). The domain provider only supplies DNS; game traffic is not routed abroad.

What stays on your device

The following is stored only on your device:

  • Profile (nickname, avatar)
  • Level and XP
  • History Road stars
  • Achievements
  • Review list
  • Daily puzzle and streak results
  • Settings (sound, vibration, reminder time)

It is lost when you uninstall the app. On iOS, a progress summary is also kept in this device's Keychain only (it does not go to iCloud) so it can come back if you reinstall; on Android it is included in the device backup. You can delete it under Profile → Edit → Delete profile.

Duels with friends

Invitations use the player code only; no names are shown in a match ("You" / "Rival"). The person inviting shows their own player code to the person they invite. There is no chat.

Ads

To keep the game free, it shows Google AdMob ads. Google may process the advertising ID and device information to serve and measure ads and, if you allow it, to personalise them. This data is transferred to Google, outside Turkey.

Your consent is requested before the first ad (consent form for the EU, the UK and Turkey). You can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy summary → Privacy preferences. On iOS, tracking permission (ATT) is asked separately. If you do not consent, non-personalised ads are shown.

Your player code is not shared with the ad partner.

Notifications

If you want, a local notification is set up for a daily reminder; no server or push service is used. You can turn it off in Settings.

Children

ChronoDuello is designed for ages 13 and up and is not directed at children.

Your rights (KVKK Art. 11)

You have the right to learn whether your data is processed, to request its deletion and to object. You can delete your player code yourself in the app; for any other request, write to info@knowduello.com.
