Privacy Policy
AtlasDuello needs no account and does not collect your name, email, phone number or location. The game is played online from our own server, which stores only a random player code; your progress stays on your device.
What our server stores
The game is played over the internet from our own server. The only thing stored there about you is:
- Player code (8 characters): generated randomly the first time you open the app. It lets friends invite you to duels and confirms that a game session belongs to you. It is a pseudonym and does not reveal who you are.
- A hash of the code's secret key (never the key itself), and when the code was created and last seen.
During a game, questions, answers and timing are kept in memory only and are deleted when the session ends or after 30 minutes of inactivity.
We keep no match history, no leaderboard, no device ID and no record of your IP address. Your IP address is counted briefly in memory to limit abuse and is never written anywhere. No access logs are kept in front of the server.
Retention and deletion
A player code that has not been seen for 90 days is deleted automatically. Encrypted backups are kept for at most 3 months, so a deleted code also drops out of the backups within that time.
You can delete your code and its server record immediately under Settings, Player code, "Delete code" (an internet connection is needed). Your progress on the device is not affected.
Server location and security
The server is located in Türkiye. Our domain provider only supplies DNS; game traffic is not routed through any other country.
All traffic between the app and the server is encrypted with TLS.
Data stored on your device
Your profile (nickname and avatar), level and XP, achievements, passport stamps, records, daily puzzle and streak results, and settings are stored on your device.
They are lost when you delete the app. On iOS, a summary of your progress is also kept in this device's Keychain only (never iCloud), so it comes back if you reinstall. On Android it is included in the device backup.
Duels with friends
Invitations work only with the player code. No names are shown during a match; players appear as "You" and "Rival". The person you invite sees the inviter's player code.
There is no chat and no free text.
Advertising
To keep the game free, it shows Google AdMob ads. Google may process your advertising ID and device information to show and measure ads and, if you allow it, to personalise them. This data is transferred to Google, outside Türkiye.
Your consent is requested before the first ad (through a consent form for the EU, the UK and Türkiye). You can change it any time under Profile, Settings, "Ad privacy options".
On iOS, tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency) is requested separately. If you do not consent, non-personalised ads are shown.
Your player code is not shared with the ad partner.
Children
AtlasDuello is not directed at children.
Your rights (KVKK)
Under Article 11 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), you have the right to learn whether your data is processed, to ask for it to be deleted, and to object.
You can delete your player code yourself in the app. For any other request, write to info@knowduello.com.
